👉Last week in preperation for our writing lesson, my studnets brought our class book Arthur and the Golden Rope to life!

Together, we explored Arthur’s incredible journey across the ocean to the Land of the Gods, mapping journey and the challenges he faced using chalk on the playground (including his battle with the mighty KRAKEN🐙).
💡This hands-on outdoor activity helped my students immerse themselves in the adventure, developing their ideas and vocabulary ready for their story-writing classroom task!
Why this works?
🌱Kinesthetic Learning: Physically moving with the story narrative helps students internalise the plot structure.
🌱Vocabulary Expansion: Verbally describing their battle with the “mighty Kraken” and navigating the “Land of the Gods helped them develop vocabulary.
🌱Wellbeing: Integrating fresh air and movement helps children regulate get some much needed time away from the classroom.
Lets get kids learning outdoors more!
